Learning is the ability of an individual to obtain information through perception (observation, listening, reading, etc.) and from memory, and then to collect and organize, analyze and compare, judge, reason and draw conclusions. New Oriental Academy attaches great importance to the development of independent and comprehensive learning abilities, so that students become lifelong learners.
In preparing courses at NOA, we take into consideration and cater for a wide range of learning styles for students of all ages. In the process of educating and teaching, teachers help to advance students’ abilities to study, question and reason by engaging them in varied perceptual and memory activities, and by guiding them to manipulate and question. Experiments, research and other group and individual activities cultivate logical thinking ability, so that students can successfully complete the challenging curriculum, and gradually become familiar with self-learning and self-improvement.
